NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND CANADA (EXCLUDING QUEBEC), WHO HAVE REACHED THE AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR JURISDICTION OF RESIDENCE (18 YEARS EVERYWHERE, EXCEPT 19 IN ALABAMA AND NEBRASKA, BC, NFLD AND LAB, NB, NWT, NS, NUNAVUT AND YUKON). YOU MUST HAVE INTERNET ACCESS AND AN EMAIL ADDRESS AT TIME OF ENTRY AND THROUGH COMPLETION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES (INCLUDING PRIZE AWARDING PERIOD) TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. 1. Sweepstakes Period: The AXE Hair Action Challenge Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") begins at 10:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on February 1, 2010 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on March 28, 2010 (the "Sweepstakes Period"), with intervening deadlines for four separate Grand Prize drawings/prizes and fifty-six separate Daily Prize drawings/prizes.
2. Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec), who as of the date of entry have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence (18 years everywhere, except 19 in Alabama and Nebraska, BC, NFLD and Lab, NB, NWT, NS, Nunavut and Yukon), and who at the time of entry and through the completion of the Sweepstakes (a) have internet access and (b) have an email address (which must remain the same throughout the Sweepstakes), ("Eligible Entrants"). Employees of Conopco, Inc., d/b/a Unilever, Don Jagoda Associates, Inc., their respective affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, divisions, suppliers, distributors and advertising, promotional and judging agencies (collectively the "Sponsor and its Administrators"), and such employees' immediate family members (defined as parents, spouses, children and siblings, whether biological, adoptive, step or in-law) and/or those living in the same household of each (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate or win.
3. How to Enter: During the Sweepstakes Period, Eligible Entrants may enter the Sweepstakes by visiting the AXE Hair Action Sweepstakes Fan Page on the Facebook Platform and accepting the AXE Hair Action Sweepstakes Application (the "Application"), or by visiting the Application posted on www.theaxeeffect.com. To enter, click on the Sweepstakes link within the Application, and follow the on-screen directions to complete and submit your entry information and to upload a video or photograph (the "Visual") corresponding to the current challenge (the "Challenge"), as explained on the Application. All entry information, Visual, and anything else submitted in connection with an entry shall be referred to herein as an "Entry." The Visual must show how you are fulfilling the current Challenge explained on the Application. Each person appearing in your Visual ("Visual Participants") must be a legal resident of the United States or Canada (except Quebec) and have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence. You must have each such Visual Participant's consent to (a) appear in your Visual, (b) be used in connection with your Sweepstakes Entry, and (c) be used for advertising, promotional and public relations purposes by Sponsor, its agents and those authorized by Sponsor or its agents, including without limitation posting of the Visual on the Application, on Sponsor's or any of its product web sites or social media sites, or elsewhere as determined by Sponsor without territorial, time or other limitation. Upon request by Sponsor, and in Sponsor's sole discretion, you may need to obtain signed release forms from each Visual Participant on a form provided by Sponsor. Such signed release forms must be returned within the time frame specified by Sponsor or your Entry will be disqualified. The person uploading the Entry must be an Eligible Entrant, must be the person who photographed or videoed the Visual, and must be the only person named on the entry materials (the "Entrant"). By entering, each Entrant understands and agrees that his/her Entry may (in Sponsor's sole discretion) be posted online for the public to view. The Visual must relate to the Challenge topic that is open as of the time the Entry is received. If, in Sponsor's sole determination, the Visual does not relate to the current Challenge topic, the Entry may be disqualified. Entrant will be deemed the name appearing on the Entry. For each eligible Entry, the Entrant will receive one (1) entry into the Grand Prize drawing for the particular Challenge period in which the Entry was received, as well as one (1) entry into the daily drawing corresponding to the day on which the Entry was received. Limit one (1) Entry per person and per email address per Challenge. If it is discovered that more than one Entry is obtained from the same person or same email address for any given Challenge or in any given Challenge period, all Entries obtained from such person or from such email address will be disqualified.

4. Submission Requirements: In order to be entered into the Sweepstakes, Entrants must comply with the following requirements for their Visual. Failure to follow these requirements, or any other terms set forth in these Official Rules or in the Application, may result in disqualification. If submitting a video, the video must be in one of the following formats: mp4, flv, avi, mpeg - codecs include (mpeg-4 (including divx/xvid), mpeg-2, mjpeg (most webcams), uncompressed, and mp3/phone for audio). If submitting a photograph, the photograph must be in one of the following formats: jpeg, png, gif. Both Visual uploads are limited to a maximum file size of 16Mb. There is no limit on image/video dimensions or resolution, and videos are automatically rescaled to 320x240 flv. The Entry may not contain obscene, lewd or inappropriate images or text (as determined in Sponsor's sole discretion). Entries may not contain any nudity, acts of violence or acts that incite violence, or acts that appear to cause harm, all as determined in Sponsor's sole discretion. Any Entry or portion thereof that is, in the Sponsor's sole discretion, offensive, not in keeping with Sponsor's image or desired image, obscene, profane, lewd, defamatory, contains any third party materials, or otherwise violates or infringes (or may infringe) any copyright, trademark, logo, mark that identifies a brand or other proprietary right of any person living or deceased (including but not limited to rights of privacy or publicity or portrayal in a false light) or entity, or is otherwise objectionable, will be disqualified. Therefore, clothing worn in the Visual should not contain any visible logos, drawings, cartoons, phrases, trademarks or other third-party materials. The Visual may not contain music, and may be disqualified if it does contain music. Entrants may not copy or otherwise plagiarize the Visual from any source. Sponsor has the sole discretion to determine whether an Entry qualifies under these Official Rules. Entries must be the sole, original work of the Entrants, and may not have won any previous award or have been entered in any other competition. Entries may not have been published previously, except as allowed through the Application. Modifying, enhancing or altering a third party's pre-existing work does not qualify as an original work. In such an event, if discovered, the Entry will be disqualified from the Sweepstakes. Entrants may not copy or otherwise plagiarize the Entry from any source. By entering the sweepstakes and submitting and Entry, each Entrant (and his/her parent/legal guardian if he/she is under the age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence): (i) grants to the Sponsor, in perpetuity, a non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit or otherwise use the Entry, in whole or in part, for advertising or promoting the Sweepstakes or for any other reason; and (ii) waives all moral rights in and to his/her Entry in favor of the Sponsor. Automated, script, macro or robotic Entries submitted by individuals will be disqualified. If, in Sponsor's sole discretion, the Entry appears to have resulted in any injury or bodily harm, or violated any laws, it will be disqualified. In the event that Sponsor determines for any reason that an Entry should be disqualified, the Entry will not be posted online and will not be eligible for the Sweepstakes. Any Entry not in compliance with the above and which does not meet the requirements of these Official Rules will be disqualified. If in Sponsor's sole determination there is a legitimate and credible dispute as to copyright ownership of a Visual, then Sponsor may automatically disqualify such Entry. By entering, Entrants agree to waive any rights he/she may have to the Entry submitted. In Sponsor's sole discretion, Entries (or portions thereof) may be posted on the Sponsor's website or social media sites, with or without Entrant's name, and may be posted on other non-affiliated websites.
5. Random Drawings: One (1) Grand Prize winner per Challenge will be selected on or about the dates indicated in the Chart in Rule #3 in a random drawing from among all eligible Entries received for that Challenge and during that corresponding Challenge Period only. Entries will not be carried forward for subsequent drawings, if any. There will also be one (1) Daily Prize winner for each day of the Sweepstakes Period. The Daily Prize winners will be determined in random drawings that will be conducted on a weekly basis (for each Monday through Sunday period during the Sweepstakes Period) on or about the following Wednesday, beginning February 10, 2010 through March 31, 2010. Drawings for each Daily Prize winner will include only those eligible Entries received between 12:00:00 a.m. and 11:59:59 pm ET for the applicable day. The random drawings will be conducted by Don Jagoda Associates, Inc. (the "Administrator"), an independent judging organization whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning a prize will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received for the applicable drawing. No cash redemption, substitution or transfer of prize permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event the prize is unavailable.
6. Prizes and Approximate Retail Values (the "ARV"): Grand Prizes (4 total, 1 per Challenge): A trip for the winner and one (1) guest to a sporting event in the United States (for a U.S. winner only) or in Canada (for a Canadian winner only). Actual sporting event shall be determined based on winner's desires and interests, availability of tickets, and cost within budget for Grand Prize; but with final decision to be made solely by Sponsor. Trip includes round trip coach air transportation to/from major airport nearest winner's home, a minimum of one night hotel accommodations (based on double occupancy) and two (2) tickets to be used by the winner and his/her guest to the sporting event. (Maximum ARV: up to USD$4,785/$5,065 CDN [depending on the current exchange rate] each and value may not exceed USD$4,785/$5,065 CDN [depending on the current exchange rate]). In the event a Grand Prize winner lives within a 100-mile radius of destination city, round-trip ground transportation will be provided in lieu of air transportation and no additional compensation will be provided. Actual retail value of Grand Prize may vary based on many factors including sporting event, departure and/or destination city, dates of travel and fares at time of travel. If the actual value of the trip is less than the stated maximum, the balance will not be awarded. Daily Prizes (56 total, 1 per day): Sponsor-selected AXE products (ARV: USD$15 each/[CDN $16 each]). Limit one Grand Prize and one Daily Prize per person/household/email address. Total ARV for all prizes: $19,980 (USD)/$21,156 CDN) (depending on the current exchange rate).
7. General Rules: Potential winners will be notified by mail or email. Daily prize winners from the U.S. will be sent their prize via U.S. Mail. Potential Grand Prize winners from the U.S. will be required to sign and return all documents contained in the "U.S. Winner Compliance Package," which shall include an Affidavit of Eligibility, a liability release, and a publicity release (except where prohibited by law), and assignment of rights. Potential U.S. Grand Prize winners must return the completed and signed U.S. Winner Compliance Package within ten (10) days of date printed on the notification letter, or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected from remaining eligible Entries for that drawing. Potential Daily prize winners from Canada will be notified by mail or email, and will be required to correctly answer an unaided, time-limited, arithmetic skill-testing question as a condition to receiving a prize. Potential Grand Prize winners from Canada will be notified by mail or email and will be required to sign and return all documents contained in the "Canada Winner Compliance Package," which shall include correctly answering an unaided, time-limited, arithmetic skill-testing question as a condition to receiving a prize and completion of a Declaration and Release. Potential Canadian Grand Prize winners must sign and return Canada Winner Compliance Package within twenty (20) days of dated printed on the notification letter, or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected from remaining eligible Entries for that drawing. Unclaimed prizes may not be awarded. Potential Grand Prize winners' Winner Compliance Packages will be mailed Priority Mail or sent via email, to the address provided in the Entry. If Winner Compliance Package, prize or prize notification are returned as undeliverable, potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner will be selected from the remaining eligible Entries for that drawing. Airline carrier's regulations and conditions apply. Trip may not be combined with any other offer or travel, and travel may not qualify for frequent flyer miles. Grand Prize winners and respective travel companion must travel together on the same itinerary. Grand Prize winner's travel companion may not be a minor unless Grand Prize winner is his/her parent or legal guardian. Travel companion of each Grand Prize winner (or parent/legal guardian if a travel companion is an eligible minor) will be required to execute a Release of Liability/Publicity Release (where legal) prior to ticketing. Grand Prize winners and travel companions must possess valid travel documents (i.e., valid government issued photo ID, valid passport, Visa, etc.) in order to travel. Once ticketing occurs, Sponsor is not responsible if selected sporting event is postponed beyond the schedule travel dates or if sporting event is cancelled, and in such event remainder of travel package will be awarded and sporting event ticket portion of prize will be forfeited with no compensation paid in lieu of the sporting event ticket portion of prize. All Grand Prize travel must be completed on dates specified by Sponsor within one year from date awarded; dates of departure and return and destination location are subject to availability and change. Seat selection and timing of trip subject to availability and confirmation of reservations. No refunds or credit for changes are allowed. All expenses and costs, not expressly listed above, including, but not limited to, taxes, tips, entertainment, baggage fees, and transfers, are winners; and guests' sole responsibility. All federal, state, local, municipal and provincial taxes are the sole responsibility of winner (or the parent/guardian if winner is a minor in his/her state of residence), if applicable. All taxes, fees and surcharges on prizes are the sole responsibility of winner (or the parent/guardian if winner is a minor in his/her state of residence), if applicable. Winners and all entrants, as a condition of entry into the Sweepstakes, agree to defend, indemnify, release and hold harmless Sponsor and its Administrators, Facebook, and all of their respective agencies, parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and each of their respective officers, directors, shareholders, members, employees, agents, assigns, and all others associated with the development and execution of the Sweepstakes (collectively the "Released Parties") from and against any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, claims, losses, actions, or damages to persons or property, whether actual, incidental or consequential, which may be sustained in connection with (a) submitting an Entry or otherwise participating in any aspect of the Sweepstakes, (b) the receipt, possession, ownership or use/mis-use of prize awarded, (c) or any typographical or other error in these Official Rules or the announcement of offering of the prizes. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused by participation in this Sweepstakes or use or redemption of any prize. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use winner's name, likeness, quotes, and photograph for promotional purposes (including any possible public relations opportunities) without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. By entering, Entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an Entrant, Entries will be deemed to be made by the one person named on the Entry. If more than one name appears on the Entry as the name of the Entrant, the Entry will be disqualified. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or the entry site; violates the Official Rules; acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner; or acts with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. The Released Parties are not responsible for (a) lost, late or misdirected Entries, (b) technical, hardware or software malfunctions, (c) telephone failures of any kind, (d) lost or unavailable network connections, or (e) failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender, by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes which may limit the ability to participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the Entries in the Sweepstakes. Entries generated by script or bot are not eligible. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Sweepstakes for any reason, including if it cannot be completed as planned for any reason, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures or corruption of any sort. In such event, Sponsor reserves the right, but not the obligation, to award applicable prizes from eligible entries received prior to cancellation. Void in Quebec and where prohibited or restricted by national, state, provincial, municipal or any other government laws and subject to all federal, state, municipal, provincial and local laws. Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of entering the Sweepstakes, Entrant agrees that: 1) under no circumstance will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential or any other damages, other than for out-of-pocket expenses; 2) all causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and 3) any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event will entrant be entitled to receive attorneys fees or other legal costs.

Privacy Policy and Terms of Use: Please see Sponsor's privacy policy at http://www.unileverus.com/privacy/policy.html regarding Sponsor's use of personal information collected in connection with this Sweepstakes. By entering this sweepstakes you consent to Sponsor, its promotional agencies and sweepstakes judges storing and using the personal information you submitted with your entry for the purpose of administering the contest. In addition, this Sweepstakes is subject to Sponsor's Terms of Use (available at http://www.unileverus.com/terms/termsofuse.html) other than as such Terms of Use apply to ownership in the Entry (ownership rights in the Entry shall be governed by these Official Rules).
